Frequently Asked Questions

  • We need unique perspectives to make a difference, and your membership will help to strengthen our community! We can do more together than we can apart, and the PTSA amplifies your voice through collective impact. Our PTSA also provides opportunities for fellowship with other Second Street School families and connects people to important school and local resources.

Being a member of the PTSA means that you are part of an association that is focused on programs and initiatives that strengthen your child’s education. We encourage all Second Street School families to become a PTSA member to support the success of their child. We want a diverse membership base that reflects all of the families and needs of students at the school.

  • PTSA strengthens connections between families, classmates, and teachers to build a thriving and inclusive community for everyone.

Members learn ways to positively impact our school, have a voice in decisions that affect families and students, and are strengthened in their ability to support and serve all children and families in the Second Street School community.

  • There is no right or wrong way to be involved in the PTSA, and members get to choose their level of involvement.

PTSA members can participate by volunteering, attending meetings, voting on important PTSA decisions, providing ideas and feedback, donating resources and more.

  • We request that members complete a form and pay an annual fee. Click here to learn more about our membership options and the process to join.

  • Local membership fees are used to cover the costs of Kentucky and national PTSA dues.
