WELCOME!

We are glad to have you here.

If you are new to our community, please take a look around to learn more about the Second Street School PTSA.

Our Mission: PTSA for Everyone

The mission of the Parent Teacher Student Association (PTSA) is to make the potential of every student a reality by engaging and empowering families and communities to advocate for all children.

We acknowledge the potential of everyone without regard, including but not limited to age, culture, economic status, educational background, ethnicity, gender, geographic location, legal status, marital status, mental ability, national origin, organizational position, parental status, physical ability, political philosophy, race, religion, sexual orientation, and work experience.

The PTSA is designed to strengthen the partnership between the school and our families. We want every family in our school to join the PTSA because we can do more together than apart.

You get to choose your level of involvement! Through PTSA membership, you can participate in your child’s education by volunteering, attending meetings, voting on important PTSA decisions, providing ideas and feedback, donating resources and more.

PTSA Your Way

There are many opportunities to get involved with the PTSA! Our events could not be possible without the support of our members. Check out the list of upcoming events for ways to participate.

PTSA Happenings

The Second Street School Parent Teacher Student Association is comprised of families, guardians, students, teachers, and school administrators devoted to the educational success of children and the promotion of parental involvement in the school.

Who We Are

“The Second Street PTSA has become such an amazing part of our school community! Over the past few years, they’ve gone above and beyond to understand and address the needs of our families by hosting open forums, conducting surveys, and fostering open communication. But the best part? They know how to bring the fun! From the Fall Festival and River Rat Run to teacher lunches and snack carts, they’re always finding ways to build community and raise money for our students. They keep the good vibes going all year long, and we couldn’t be more grateful for their energy and dedication!”

— Principal Sam Sams, Second Street School
